Get the apps

Download & install.

ClarityOS is in public alpha. It’s not on Google Play or the Microsoft Store yet, so you install it directly. The steps below are normal for apps distributed this way.

Install steps

  1. Tap the download link on your phone. If the browser warns “this file may harm your device,” choose Download anyway.
  2. Open the downloaded .apk. If Android says the source isn’t allowed, tap Settings → allow from this source, then go back.
  3. Tap Install.
  4. If Play Protect shows “app not commonly downloaded,” tap More details → Install anyway.
  5. Open ClarityOS. Done.

Updates: download the new APK and install over the old one — your data stays. New builds are announced in the community.

Version 0.1.0 · Desktop installer

Install steps

  1. Download and run the .exe setup.
  2. If Windows SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC,” click More info → Run anyway (the app isn’t code-signed with a paid certificate yet).
  3. Follow the installer, then launch ClarityOS.

macOS & iPhone are coming soon.

Verify your download (optional): SHA-256 checksums are published in SHA256SUMS.txt next to the files.
